Students raise Holocaust awareness

The Dora Love Prize is an annual prize awarded for the best Holocaust awareness project. Participation is open to students in years 7-10 from schools in Essex and Suffolk.

The competition began with a one-day induction event at the University of Essex to prepare for an ongoing Holocaust project with a specific emphasis on tolerance and the reduction of hate in our communities. Our team included ten year 9 students who were specially selected due to their enthusiasm, focus, and hard work in Humanities subjects. They were able to participate in workshops at the University, and also attended a talk given by a Holocaust survivor. It was a fantastic learning experience, and the Boswells team is now moving towards their final projects to present to the University in time for Holocaust memorial week in January 2019.
