Kids' Lit Quiz 2018

A group of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students took part in the East of England round of the Kids’ Lit Quiz and won several prizes.
The students, Anais Abrahams ,Zoya Ahmad ,Bobby Babbs , Chloe Edwards, Karin Ellwood , Daniel Hibbert ,Taimur Kazmi and Zaina Shaik enjoyed competing and were pleased with their performance as the top Chelmsford comprehensive school in the annual competition Eastern round.
However, the year 7 team would like to try again next year to beat their 8th out of 24 position as they felt they could learn from this year's experience.
Mrs Wilson commented ' It is a wonderful experience! We all came back enthused to read more. It is a brilliant idea to create a competition so students can represent the school on the sport of reading.'
The Kids' Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10 - 13 years.
Quizzes are held in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom and USA.
The winning team from each heat competes in a National Final. National champions compete in the which will be in Singapore in 2019.
The quiz was founded by New Zealand quizmaster , who reads enough books to write several thousand questions each year.
